Wayne Ballantyne moved from Windsor, Ontario, Canada, where he was born,
to Coluymbus, OH, with his parents and sister when he was 12 years old. He
has degrees from Ohio State University and worked at the Batelle Research
Institute, Columbus, OH, as a chemical engineer. He has been self employed
in that capacity for the past several years, and owns and operates a
laundromat and drycleaning business. An apple orchard of 1000 trees occupies
much of his time in the growing season. He is a licensed airplane pilot,
enjoys jogging, swimming and sailing, and is a constant reader.
